Why Me

Darlene believes in God, her family, her community, fighting for her conservative values. She is fiscally responsible and works tirelessly responding to people’s concerns in both governing bodies.

As a County Supervisor, when working with constituents concerned about bridge closure of a 2020 Waukesha County Bridge project (CTH ES and the Fox River), Darlene coordinated with three municipal government bodies to keep the bridge open during construction. This positive impact occurred because Darlene listened to and responded to her constituents.

Her time in political office has not gone unnoticed by others.  In the fall of 2016, Darlene was nominated for nationwide recognition with the “Elected Women of Excellence Award.”

After speaking with Mukwonago residents, I decided to run for Village President because too many people feel unheard and disconnected from our current leadership, which they see as an exclusive clique. My top priorities are restoring trust in our board and ensuring that every resident’s voice is valued.

I am committed to actively listening to constituents, fostering transparency, and working to make Mukwonago a destination people choose to visit—not just pass through. By supporting local businesses and attracting high-profile restaurant ventures, we can enhance our community’s vibrancy and economic growth.
